I start the Mad Color Weave socks last night using the Yarn Pirate yarn.
I'm not sure if I'm digging this pattern with this yarn. I really like the pattern but I think the yarn wants to be something else.I'll have to mull it over for a few.

It does look like you're losing the beauty of the yarn. I was going to use Wollmeise with that pattern, but had the same fears. I'm thinking just plain stockinette socks to showcase the yarn.

ReplyDeleteYou are right, the pattern doesn't show as good. See, some people think "Just grab a yarn and make a sock". No, it takes finesse to match them up perfectly too.
